This Privacy Policy describes how FCPS Medicine MCQs ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Google Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Firebase Authentication. We use this solely to identify your account.
• Quiz Progress: Your answered questions, selected answers, correctness, and attempt timestamps are stored in our database (Firebase Firestore) and locally on your device (Hive) to track your performance.
• Premium Status: Whether your account has an active premium subscription and its expiry date, stored in Firebase Firestore and cached locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: In-app subscription purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made.
• Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized data on how the App is used (screens visited, sessions, crashes). No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.
• Advertising Data (Free Users Only): Free users are shown ads served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the quiz experience
• To sync your progress across devices (premium users)
• To verify and activate your premium subscription
• To display and track your performance statistics
• To improve the App through anonymized analytics

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which are protected by industry-standard security measures. Progress data is also cached locally on your device using Hive for offline access (premium users). We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Google Firebase – for authentication, database, and analytics services
• Google AdMob – for serving ads to free users
• Google Play Billing – for processing subscription payments

All third-party services are governed by their respective privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, please contact us at the email below and we will remove your data from our servers within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults preparing for medical licensing examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of analytics collection (via your device settings)
• Opt out of personalized ads (via your Google account settings)
